European Quality Foods: Eating with your 5 senses promoted European gastronomy at the food trade food show “Annapoorna-World Of Food India” in Mumbai between the 24rd and the 26th of September, a remarkable platform where professionals from the food and beverage industry in India gathered and learn more about foreign products. Eating with your five senses hosted a total of nine innovative workshops, where professionals participated and observed the creativity of chefs and other FnB experts.
A delegation from the European Commission attended to the event headed by H.E. Dr João Cravinho, Ambassador of the European Union and Ms. Monique Pariat, Deputy Director Geneal of DG Agriculture and Rural Development.
Carolina Gimeno, Project Manager mentioned: “The stall was managed by a renowned event management company, T.I.C. who have been associated with the participation of the European campaign EUROPEAN QUALITY FOOD: EATING WITH YOUR FIVE SENSES in this fair since 2012. T.I.C. helped us in putting up the stall to meet the standards and finishing we were requesting as well as taking care that there was no incident during the trade fair each year. For us T.I.C has been a key partner to be associated with, we had a mutual understanding thus the results in each year of the three thematic pavilions were excellent. A trustful and resolutive partner that will support your requirements in trade shows in a 360º degree. Definitely we will count on T.I.C. for new promotion campaigns”
Talking about the association, Gaurav Dhall, Managing Director, T.I.C. shared, “We are extremely happy to be associated with the Campaign EUROPEAN QUALITY FOOD: EATING WITH YOUR FIVE SENSES for Annapoorna World of Food trade show for the past 3 years and we hope we can continue this association with other European Food Promotion Campaigns. This time, we had the biggest pavilion in the fair which allowed us to showcase our creative excellence on a bigger scale. The challenge for us was to create a stall with the true European feel. So we had taken care of every minute detail like colour scheme, displays, furniture etc while designing the stall”.
Eating with your five senses is aimed to alert the Indian Consumers about the European gastronomy by eating not just through their mouth but realizing the 5 senses of touch, taste, smell, sight and hear from European ingredients. The programme endeavours to increase the awareness of European products through different promotional activities every year some addressed to final consumer and others aiming professionals of the industry.
Over the last few years, the demand for European products has grown in India and still there is a huge potential, due to which the European Union, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment of Spain and the Spanish Food and Beverage Industry Federation (FIAB) are promoting European Food and Beverages during the course of 3 years.
